Bring a Winter Aesthetic to Your Exterior

There are plenty of ways to transition your porch as seasons change. Use the ideas below to help bring a winter aesthetic to your exterior.

TIP #1:

Instead of cluttering your entryway with strands of lights, opt for a simple setup. If you normally use candles in festive lanterns, fill them with colorful ornaments instead. Incorporate poinsettias, garland, and shimmery white Styrofoam balls (which make for excellent snowballs) in a crate or bin. You can even use tree stumps to add height to your decorations!

TIP #2:

To add a touch of glamour, go for gold. A wreath with gold ribbon will make your front door pop and will stand out even more when paired with a string of pine cones. Or, for a more rustic feel, use white decor with greenery, such as pine branches, that not only look festive, but give off the scent of the season as well!

TIP #3:

For a cozy look, add an outdoor blanket accented with faux-fur trim and decorative pillows to a bench or chair and string fairy lights on the porch. Guests will immediately feel welcomed into your home!
