Take the 7-Day Declutter Challenge

Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a dreaded time of year. If you’ve added decluttering to your list of spring cleaning tasks, this seven-day challenge will get your home tidy and organized in no time—and with little to no added stress.

These simple steps won’t take up too much time in your day, and will help you bring a sense of calm and peace into your home. Let the decluttering begin!

Monday: Living and Dining Rooms
Start by cleaning drawers and cabinets, removing any trash or unused items. Objectively look at the room, and repurpose or donate any items that aren’t being used.

Tuesday: Kitchen
Clear the clutter by donating or selling any gadgets or appliances you don’t use. You can also toss any expired items from the fridge, pantry, and cabinets—or donate good food that’s simply not being used.

Decluttering Closet

Wednesday: Bedrooms and Closets
Go through your closet, and donate any items that no longer fit or you haven’t worn in the past year. Organize toys and books, and then donate any that don’t regularly get used.

Thursday: Bathrooms
For your decluttering—and your health—toss any expired makeup or toiletries. Reduce your beauty items to only those used on a regular basis.

Decluttering Office

Friday: Office
Organize and sort any papers you need to keep or shred, and recycle everything else. Donate old books you have already read to the local library or school.

Saturday: Storage Areas
Donate or sell any furniture or household items you are not using. Store all seasonal items and holiday decorations in clearly labeled bins out of the way.

Sunday: Garage and Car
Toss any broken items or items that no longer work; donate any items you don’t use. Clean out the car, removing any items that don’t belong there.

It doesn’t have to be hard!
Decluttering your home doesn’t have to be a chore when you take this seven-day challenge. Get your friends and family to participate, too!
